Deviser Special Showcase 2025

The -Deviser Special Showcase- presents limited edition and new products from each of the Deviser brands. This is the 10th time for this event, and we are proud to present a wide range of products our craftsmen prepared for this year's showcase.

A model developed in collaboration with Osamuraisan「HF-KOBOREZAKURA」

Based on the specifications of the late Yasuo Momose’s Headway Customshop Series Sakura guitars, Solo guitarist Osamuraisan’s favorite, this model was jointly developed by Headway and Osamuraisan, with adjustments made in various areas to make it more accessible. Like the original guitar, a smaller body shape was adopted, and Sakura (Japanese cherry) wood was selected for the back & sides, while ebony wood with prominent stripes was selected for the fretboard. We purposefuly designed this model without a pickguard to maximize the sound quality while embracing a simpler visual design. On the other hand, the headstock and fretboard are decorated with gorgeous white mother of pearl shell and avalon. The white mother of pearl shells depict cherry blossom in full bloom on the headstock and their petals fluttering down through the fretboard, which is made to look like a Sakura tree trunk, to more closely express the scene of cherry blossoms that Osamuraisan envisioned.

A new Headway in the tradition of the 500 Series – “The Five” The 500 series has been a longtime Headway staple, producing Long-time bestseller models represented by product numbers such as 531 and 523. The basic structure, including the bracing pattern, which is the key to the sound, has been retained, and a renewed model has been created in pursuit of maximizing playability for the modern player. The Aska Team Build Series, Headway's flagship lineup that began production in 2011, has now surpassed 4,000 units produced. This ambitious work is the culmination of the Sakura model, which has become synonymous with Headway. Aiming to embody “making a guitar with a story,” the craftsmen of the “Aska Team Build Series” have put their utmost care into every detail of the guitar, incorporating the colorful expressions of the four seasons that have been cultivated by Sakura Guitars.

JT-Series’ First Model Made Ising Japanese Sakura Wood Since 2014, Headway has been producing acoustic guitars that utilize Sakura (Japanese cherry) wood for the back and sides, known as “Sakura guitars”. Until now, the use of Sakura wood has been limited to the high-end Customshop Series, Aska Team Build Series, and Standard Series manufactured in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture, Japan, but in 2025, the company decided to make the charm of cherry wood guitars available to more guitar users at a more affordable price point. 2025 The Eagle

Headway: The Dawn of a New Chapter Founded in 1977, Headway, which has been in business for over 45 years, has released a “completely new Headway” in 2023 with the intention of moving into a new era. While retaining the style of Headway’s flagship HD-115 model, the specs and design were completely revised, and the craftsmen of the Aska Team Build team collaborated with Yasuo Momose, founder of Headway, to develop this model from scratch.
