Biography

He was born in Coyhaique on May 23, 1989. At the age of 15, he began to play the electric bass. In 2009 he obtained the Talento Joven scholarship and entered university with a major in Music and Sound, from that same year he began his studies under the tutelage of renowned bassist Christian Galvez, who invited him to be part of his new Jazz Fusion project, releasing the album “Kinetic” (2010).

He has shared the stage with Leo Maslíah, Jeff Berlin, Freddy Torrealba, Ángel Parra, Ernesto Holman, Jorge Campos, Marcelo Córdova, Eduardo Gatti among others.

In 2015 he founded, along with four partners, La Quinta Estudios, a professional recording studio, working as a music producer and sessionist. In 2017 he releases his first album with Jordan García on drums and Oscar Pizarro on piano. He also receives the sponsorship of the prestigious international brand Darkglass Electronics. In 2019 he formed the band Neyün with Gabriel Jofré on guitar and Cesar García on drums, releasing his first EP in 2020. The same year he represented Chile in the ACT4MUSIC jazz festival along with outstanding national musicians. Also, together with the outstanding drummer Josué Villalobos they formed the duo Groove in Transit, debuting at the Villa Grimaldi jazz festival. From 2011 to 2018 he served as a professor of Electric Bass at the Escuela Superior de Jazz.
