MJS-MV Kazuki Isogai

Released in December 2022. It was developed with both “musical expression” and “real world” application in mind, as sought by Isogai. Unique tonewoods selected include a tochi body and wenge fretboard that produce a robust midrange tone, features a solid and comfortable D-shape neck, and position marks made of luminescent material that glow in the dark, all of which enhance playability.

The first thing I felt when I picked up this guitar was the light tension of the strings, which made it easy to play. At first I was under the impression that the strings were of a thinner gauge. The sound is light in a good sense. However, when the rear pickup is used, the bass is firm and does not feel light at all. I have a feeling that it will sound better the more I play it. The body doesn’t feel too heavy, and it feels stylish. And momose has strong and stable necks, so they rarely warp. I used it for recording, and it was very well received by sound engineers and arrangers. I think this is one instrument that can be used with confidence in a variety of settings.
