Shinya Ishihara – Saucy Dog
Biography
Vocalist/Guitarist of Saucy Dog, a three-piece guitar rock band formed in Osaka by members from various parts of Western Japan in 2013. After a member change, they won the grand prize at the 2016 MASH A&R audition. Their music video for their song “Itsuka” has surpassed the 6.3 million views. Vo Ishihara’s -Words, Melodies, and Voice- are his three most appealing elements.
During May 2018 they released their 2nd mini album “Salad Days”. His first one-man tour and “Wonderful Tour 2018” held at 25 locations nationwide were all sold out. On April 13, 2019, a one-man concert was held at the Osaka Castle Outdoor Music Hall.

It’s been 7 or 8 years already, but back in the day, I didn’t have a guitar of my own. I was looking for an instrument going from store to store, and suddenly I found the guitar I’m still using to this day. From the moment I first saw it, I really took a liking to the color and head shape, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear that it was made in Japan too. The store clerk recommended that I give it a try, and the moment I started playing I realized “This is it!”. I could just feel it, and I’m very thankful for it this feeling. Of course, the person I’m the most thankful to is Mr. Momose for making this wonderful guitar.
