Ash Body & Unique “Bordeaux Purple Oil” Color Scheme
A new color “Bordeaux Purple Oil” was developed, inspired by the color of Fami’s favorite fountain pen. The oil coating, a Bacchus staple, enhances the comfort of the smooth wood surface while bringing out the unique character of the grain of the ash wood, for a richly textured finish. The oil finish creates an open sound with a wide range because the vibration of the body is not disturbed by any paint.
Purple Heart Fretboard With Original Inlays
The fretboard is made of purple heart, which is characterized by its natural purple color and heavy and hard characteristics. It has a clear attack and extended sustain. The 11th to 13th frets are decorated with original inlays that have two meanings: an “F” from Fami’s initial, and forte, a musical symbol that represents her aggressive playing style.

We made a new purple-toned marble pattern material to match the body color Bordeaux Purple Oil, and the Bacchus logo is carefully made out of resin.
Headless Woodline Model
Our starting point when developing the WOODLINE5AC-HL Fami was the headless version model WOODLINE-HL, first made in 2018 derived from the Bacchus brand’s long-selling WOODLINE series. In going headless, the design was reworked to achieve a balanced body design that acompanies the player and provides an optimized tone.
Well thought-out body balance and ease of handling
The slim, contoured body, inherited from the WOODLINE family, is both comfortable to hold and well-balanced, and can be played comfortably while wearing a strap or while sitting down. The new model is designed to allow the player to concentrate on their performance. The overall length is close to that of a standard electric guitar, making it easy to carry in a car or in a gig bag.
Tone with good harmonic content
Headless basses tend to sound “stuffy” at best, with little overtone component due to their structure, but the Bacchus WOODLINE-HL has just the right amount of overtone component by adjusting the neck angle and optimizing the angle and distance from the headpiece to the nut. It is relatively close to a regular bass and produces a highly versatile sound.
