A new Flame Maple top is here 「DUKE-CTM-FM」 【Bacchus Global Series】
The Bacchus Global Series “DUKE” family started in 2023, and now a new member joins the lineup, it’s the “DUKE-CTM-FM” with a flame maple body top that further enhances the series uniqueness.
Bacchus Global Series new「DUKEs」
The Bacchus Handmade Series, the flagship line of the Bacchus brand, has a brand concept that has been upheld since the series began in 2000.
To make the most of the natural beauty and natural tone of the wood. And to create guitars that allow players to express themselves as they wish, with the solid woodworking skills that Yasuo Momose, our craftsman since 1977, has built up over the years.
Based on this concept, “DUKE” was created as the first set-neck model in the series.
Although this model has been very popular since it was first released, in recent years we have been unable to supply the market with a sufficient quantity due to production not keeping up with demand. In 2023, the “DUKE-CTM” was released, which follows the traditional look of the Bacchus Handmade Series while incorporating the technology, specifications, and shape cultivated in the Bacchus Handmade Series, so that more users can pick up a DUKE model.
And now, the DUKE-CTM-FM with flame maple body top joins the lineup.
Featuring a unique flamed grain pattern and four color variations, this model adds a new page to the series.
Flame Maple Top
The see-through coloring enhances the wood grain of each individual instrument, making it a one-of-a-kind choice. The flame maple top wood not only gives the model a unique look, but also adds the unique tension and crispness of maple to the sound.
DUKE Shape Redesign
The body shape is based on the arched shape of the Bacchus Handmade Series DUKE model, but the body thickness is slightly thinner than the conventional DUKE. This makes it easier for players with smaller hands to hold and handle.
Neck setup angle following the Handmade Series’ 「DUKE」models
This model uses a deep-joint set neck with a large bonding area to the body. The wide ground contact area allows string vibrations to be transmitted firmly from the body to the neck.
The set-neck model’s playability and sound are affected by the neck’s angle, which is based on that of the Handmade Series DUKE, but fine-tuned to the material and design to provide just the right amount of tension and rich body resonance.
Slim U-shape neck
The neck is a relatively thin slim U-shape. Even players with smaller hands can easily press the strings and concentrate on playing.
