Headway’s Modern 500 Series’ Renewal!

A new chapter in Headway’s history.
Compared to the traditional design of the HD-115, the HD-500 is a more modern and ambitious work with specifications that make it a ready-to-use instrument.
While inheriting the features of the Aska Team Build Series, this guitar has the familiarity of a guitar that can be played live and on recordings, and gives a sense of reliability that only a Japanese-made guitar can offer.

This time, it has been renewed with a new specification that is adopted for the first time in the Standard Series!

STD500 Series’ SF,S Specs

The ’34 Semi-forward-shifted, Scalloped X Bracing,’ which Momose arrived at after many iterations over the years of making guitars is used for this series.
The cross position of the bracing is set close to the soundhole.
The wider open space near the bridge allows the top board to vibrate more easily, resulting in a fuller, softer sound with more emphasis on the lower register.
Each tone this guitar produces has a solid body behind it, with rich overtones and deep sustain.
It reflects the player’s expression and nuance with great response.

500 Series’ Original Design & Finish

The headstock features a flapping eagle wood inlay. The logo is also designed to match the rounded shape of the headstock.
The position markings are snowflake inlays with different sizes depending on the frets for a more luxurious look.

The rosetta is not just a herringbone pattern but is accented with a red line, the theme color of the 500 series. The pickguard also has a modern, original tortoiseshell pattern with an original shape that suits it very well in our opinion.

Slim U Grip

The No. 500 model features the original slim U-shape that feels comfortable and easy to play for many guitarists.
The shape is neither too thin nor too thick for an easy grip, just the right size.

Conversion Endpin

For the endpin, we included a conversion endpin compatible with 12.2mm endpin jacks. Thanks to this feature, adding a preamp is a very easy task.

Battery Holder & Cable Hook Included

Equipped with a battery holder and a wiring hook. Normally, no matter which side the battery holder is in, there’s always a risk of the battery dethatching and damaging your instrument but for this model’s holder, a screw holds the battery in place, so no matter if you are transporting your instrument or mid-performance, you don’t have to worry about it dethatching.
