A new color is here! -Yome to Ore-‘s Yome-chan’s signature model

In 2023 we released Yome-chan’s signature model which was very well received, and now, a long-awaited new color has made its appearance, it’s the –KWH-GRD-! The pale pink to white gradient evokes the image of both the cherry blossoms and the traditional Miko (Japanese shrine maiden) costume, and its pretty yet elegant appearance is sure to catch some eyes.

This new color is inspired by the color from a Custom Shop model her partner, Marco, gifted her as a surprise birthday gift, which was made by master builders Yasui and Furihata.

HF-TSUKIMIYOZAKURA Specs

-Tsukimiyozakura- (Nightly Sakura Moon Viewing) Inlay design

The inlay is the origin of “Tsukimi” included in the model name. The design uses the moon and cherry blossoms, and the exquisite balance between the thin crescent moon and cherry blossoms is Yome-chan’s favorite aspect of the design. This design is also used in Yome-chan’s favorite guitar, the “HF-YOZAKURA’21 DX F,S/STD” as well as the “HF-KAGURA CUSTOM”.

Micarta fretboard and cherry blossom inlay

Black micarta with excellent hardness was selected for the fingerboard material. For the inlay, a cherry blossom motif was added with white mother-of-pearl shells for an elegant finish.

-Myrtle Wood- Back & Sides

Myrtle wood was selected for the body back & sides. Myrtle wood, which has a light and refreshing sound, is a good match for Yome-chan’s fingering playstyle, which is synonymous with rhythmic strumming and was selected from among many other woods.

Neck grip for easy gripping

The neck, which plays a major role in the playability of the guitar, has a thin, easy-to-grip grip that reflects Yomechan’s commitment to “ease of use”. The body is colored in a kagura white gradation to match the body color, and a gloss finish gives it a luxurious feel.

Sakura wood sound hole plate

A wood plate with a serial number made of Japanese cherry wood is attached to the inside of the sound hole. Fluttering cherry blossom designs and the -Yome to Ore- mark.

Bonus Items

Includes a new pick with the -Yome to Ore- logo and an original cleaning cloth, newly designed to match the color scheme.

About -Yome to Ore-

In March 2019, the married couple “Yome to ore (Tentative)”[Translating to “My wife and me”] started releasing content. In September of the following year, the channel reached 100,000 subscribers and was officially named Yome to ore, dropping the “(Tentative)”. Their instrumental videos with two guitars are highly popular for their solid playing skills and soft, open atmosphere.
As of December 2022, the number of subscribers to the channel exceeded 300,000. They are a married couple of guitarists who will for sure be in the spotlight from now on.

About the Headway Japan Tune-up Series

What is the JT series

It is often heard that a professional guitarist or an experienced acoustic guitarist won’t use a brand new guitar as it is, rather having it set up by a reliable repair shop or a guitar builder before starting to use it. They know that having an acoustic guitar properly set up is very important if they want to reach their best performance and achieve the ideal music they would like to create. The undeniable fact is that having good playability really makes a difference in the performance and sound of an acoustic guitar. At Headway, with our Japan Tune-up series, we are aware of this and we aim for superb playability even on our budget-friendly guitars. Every detail concerned with playability including the nut, saddle, frets, and neck action of JT guitars is carefully adjusted at our Deviser Workshop in Japan before they are dispatched to music stores. We use the term -Tune up- because the attunement done to JT guitars is not just simple adjustments to make the guitars playable, but they are to pull out the best of the guitars, enhancing the playability and the sound. JT guitars are a good fit for players at every level from entry class players to experienced ones.

The JT series uses the “dovetail joint” and “post-processing assembly” methods, which require the same machining precision as Headway’s higher-end models.

Dovetail joint & Post-processing assembly

The joint between the neck and body is an important part of guitar production. Headway has been using the “dovetail joint” and “post-processing assembly” processes in its high-end models, and now, these features also come to the JT series products.

Nut & Saddle

On every JT Series guitar, the nut and saddle are carefully adjusted to offer the best string actions so that they are easy to play. Edges of nut and saddles are smoothly rounded for comfortability.

String action

The string height, meaning the string action, plays a major role in the playability of a guitar, and each guitar in the JT series is carefully adjusted to the proper string height for ease of pressing.

Fret edge rounding

The fret wires are filed to keep even response and tone from every fret, with sandpapers in different grit sizes being used. The edges of frets are rounded for smoother, more comfortable access to higher frets.

Smooth matte-finished neck

The fingerboard is an important part of the sound quality. After being polished with steel wool, it is well protected with lemon oil.

Included case

We include a durable gig bag with a thick cushion to keep your instrument safe. On the backside, there’s a big, A4-sized pocket, where you can comfortably carry all your accessories without a problem.
