Introduction
Headway brings a model with an electric sound and airy feel
Headway, an acoustic brand born in 1977, has grown through twists and turns in the course of its history and is using the experience and techniques acquired through the years to produce a special LP-type model in a limited edition at the Deviser Special Showcase Event. We hope you will enjoy the gems of technology that have been cultivated through the turbulent times as well as the history of the company.
The best Bear Claw Sitka Spruce for an amazing “clean” sound
The body top is made of the finest Bear Claw Sitka spruce and the sides and back are made of Honduran mahogany, and the body is hollow in order to pursue Headway’s supreme “boxy sound”. The top of the body is treated using a bracing structure, which is the pride of an acoustic guitar maker, and the specifications are focused on the air vibration inside the body to the utmost limit. The tone balance and attack that you cannot experience with mellow electric guitars are a real “Clean sound” that will greatly subvert your expectations in a good way.
One-of-a-kind MacArthur Ebony pickguard design
The very heavy and hard MacArthur Ebony pickguard was handcrafted by artisans exclusively for this purpose. The overall look of the body is tightened and a woodier sound is obtained by using wood parts instead of synthetic ones.
Featuring a Cuban mahogany neck
Cuban mahogany has been used for furniture and other woodwork for the past five centuries, but due to its scarcity, it is now rarely available and it is considered a “phantom wood” by some.
The luxurious one-piece neck gives it a unique and superb sound with a hard treble and the warm midrange characteristic of mahogany.
