Introduction
Momose Original Series『MP』
The original “MP” model inherits the traditional PJ style, but with Momose’s own unique brush-up.
Every single model is handcrafted by the Aska factory craftsmen, from woodworking to painting and assembly. The high playability resulting from the intricate construction has earned the support of top players in Japan and abroad. It offers the unwavering quality that only made-in-Japan instruments can offer.
The “MP1” model features a standard alder body, and a wide variety of deep colors are available.
Wider horn section for better playability in the higher positions
The “MJ” model has a larger gap in the horn on the higher string side than the standard JB type.
This allows for better playability in the high position, and also allows players with large hands to run up to the high frets without any issues.
Joint plate drop-in design
We went with a traditional plate joint to bring out the ideal sound, but we have further enhanced playability by applying a drop-in process to the plate section.
Wood binding to prevent fretboard problems
The sides of the fingerboard feature wood binding made of the same material as the fingerboard. In addition to realizing smooth fingerboard sides, it also prevents problems such as burrs from popping out of the frets after years of use.
Widely spaced rod adjustment
The uniquely shaped headstock has a wide adjusting hole for smooth neck adjustment.
The shape of the headstock is also wider than the standard headstock, designed for ease of maintenance.
Momose VP-1 Pickups
Momose original pickups “VP-1” are used for this model. It uses Alnico 5 magnets to output a bass tone that combines bright highs and a thick bass feel. Their sound fits a wide variety of genres.
※You can also order this model using thermo-wood for the neck for an extra fee.
Additional fee = JPY 40,000(w/o taxes)
