SAKURA UKULELE debuts new features at this year’s Deviser Special Showcase event
The SAKURA UKULELE brand debuted in 2023, and now for this 2024 Deviser Special Showcase event a new model will be debuting. The delicate inlay work has been applied in pursuit of a more Sakura model-like appearance.
The “Sakura Sound” is well-balanced and includes the sweetness characteristic of Japanese cherry wood. It being a concert model has a good volume and sustain, and the rich sound range from bass to treble is one of its main appeals.
A “Sakura Chain” inlay design that embodies the connection you feel with the ukulele
An attractive visual feature this model features is the “Sakura Chain” inlay, which was redesigned for SAKURA UKULELE based on the inlay work that has become popular on Headway’s acoustic guitars.
To embody the brand theme of SAKURA UKULELE of “More beautiful, more gentle, more elegant, more accessible…” the chain expresses the connection with all the people who hold this beautiful instrument in their hands.
Beautiful and gentle「SAKURA GRADATION」coloration
The finish for this model is done in a beautiful and gentle gradation of colors that we call “Sakura gradation”, which is characteristic of our Sakura models.
The headstock is also made out of Sakura wood, and it’s finished in the same fashion matching the body, giving as a result a gorgeous high-end look.
Highly-stable GOTOH® UK700 machineheads
The machineheads for this model are GOTOH UK700 which provide improved tuning stability and practicality. The sound has a well-balanced “sakura sound” with the sweetness characteristic of Japanese cherry wood and can be played with a clear or relaxed feel depending on whether the body is a soprano or concert.
