Introduction

Andre Dinuth Signature Model

Indonesian guitarist Andre Dinuth’s signature model is now available from the Bacchus Universe Series. This model is a product of Andre Dinuth’s dedication to his own solo project as well as his work as a studio musician, playing a variety of genres.

S-S-H Pickup layout & Coil-tap switch

Based on the “TAC24” model of the same series, the S-S-H pickup arrangement follows the specifications of Andre’s favorite “T-STANDARD A.D. CUSTOM”. A mini-switch mounted between the volume and tone knobs allows coil-tapping of the bridge position humbucker pickup.

Custom pickups with Alnico 5 magnets

At Andre’s request, a high-output pickup set using Alnico 5 magnets is used for this model. It outputs a clear and powerful sound from crunch tone to high gain.

Headstock sign

The back of the headstock is signed by Andre, properly marking it as his signature model.

Flame mahogany & Okume body

The body top is made of “flame mahogany” with a beautiful grain. In addition to Blue Burst, which is a reproduction of Andre’s favorite custom model, Cherry Sunburst is also available as a color option. In order to get the sound Andre wanted, the body is made of Okume wood, which is close to mahogany and has a characteristic mid-range sound to it.

Heel-less cut for better playability of the higher frets

To support high-fret playability, a heel cut was applied to the joint area. The shape of the heel cut is just right to fit the hand well when playing the higher frets so you can play without anything stopping you from doing the most of your performance.

Roasted maple neck

Roasted Maple is a material that comes as a result of treating Maple wood with a high heat process, volatilizing the water and oils in the wood, giving as a result a more sturdy and durable wood that not only increases stability but also the overall sound quality of the material. The sound that we get from Roasted Maple is a rich, organic sound with a vintage-like tone that is reminiscent of an instrument that has aged its sound with time and usage. This is a new product lineup of Bacchus that puts this amazing feature, which is often used in high-end models, at a reasonable price range.

※The degree of color change due to the roasting process and the grain of the maple may vary from unit to unit.

The neck is made of roasted maple, a staple of recent Bacchus guitars. The wood used for the neck is subjected high temperatures that eliminate all the water and oils in the wood making it behave close to a fine-aged neck that’s resistant to distortions and issues that can arise in necks making it a really good value, especially at this price range.

400R fretboard x jumbo frets

A 400R fretboard is used, suitable for technical playing. Jumbo frets, which are taller and wider than those used on the regular Universe series, are used. They are easy to press and feature extended sustain.

Equipped with 2-point tremolo unit & locking pegs

This model is equipped with the same two-point tremolo unit as the TAC24 model. By using the two studs on the left and right sides as fulcrums, the resistance of the moving parts during arming is much less, resulting in smoother arming and more stable tuning.

How to fix the tremolo arm

▲ Pictured above is a TAC24 STD-RSM/M

The torque to hold the arm in place can be adjusted by tightening the locking screw on the side of the tremolo block. Adjust the torque with the 1.5mm wrench supplied with the unit by lowering the arm to expose the locking screw.

*Please note that releasing the arm down with the wrench inserted may damage the painted surface.

In addition, it is equipped with “Locking” machine heads, a mechanism that raises the pole in the string post when the wheel on the back of the pegs is turned, clamping and securing the strings in place. This not only facilitates string changes but also improves tuning stability.

This is the instruction manual for the locking pegs installed on this machine. Please check it before changing strings.
