Bacchus Japan Tune-up Series
All JT Series instruments are tuned and set up in a dedicated division in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan, with the goal of being ready to use by the player straight out of the box. Inheriting the spirit of the Handmade Series, Bacchus’ top-of-the-line line that began in 2001, the Handmade Series provides players with instruments that they can entrust themselves with confidence and that will produce the best performance possible.
「TACTICS24」x Spalted maple
The “TACTICS24″ model, the first in the JT series, uses spalted maple, known as an exotic wood variety, for the body top. Spalted” is a term used to describe wood that has developed a characteristic pattern as a result of decay caused by bacteria and other factors in nature. Spalted wood is often used for decorative purposes, and has a different feel from the more common flamed and quilted woods.
An open-pore finish is used, in which the pores of the wood are not filled in with any sealant, and only an extremely thin coating is applied, leaving as much of the wood’s texture and grain as possible.
Heel-cut and contoured body back
The heel-cut design, which eliminates the neck plate, gives as a result, improved playability at the higher frets. In addition, the contoured body back makes playing for a long time a stress-free endeavor.
24 fret design & Stainless steel frets
This model features a 24-fret design with wear-resistant stainless steel frets. Jumbo-size frets are used for smooth string pressing and extended sustain.
Locking Machineheads
The Locking machine heads are a mechanism in which the rod in the string post rises when the wheel on the back of the machine head is turned, and locks when the string is clamped. By reducing the number of windings on the string post, tuning stability is dramatically improved.
Since this mechanism clamps the strings, there is no need to wind more strings, which has the advantage of reducing the time required for string changes and reducing tension-induced buzzing.
Roasted maple neck with increased rigidity
The popular roasted maple neck, a new Bacchus classic, is also used in this model. The heat treatment not only makes the neck highly rigid and resistant to warping but also produces an aged sound with a good attack.
Coil tap function & 2 stud tremolo unit
In addition to a coil-tap function that produces a pseudo-single-coil tone by switching a mini-switch, a Wilkinson® 2-stud tremolo for smooth arming comes standard with this model.
