Bacchus Japan Tune-up Series

All JT Series instruments are tuned and set up by a dedicated division in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan, with the goal of being ready to be used straight out of the box. Inheriting the spirit of the Handmade Series, Bacchus’ top-of-the-line line that started in 2001, we offer players instruments that they can entrust themselves with peace of mind.

■ About the JT Series

The most important feature is the final process, which is carried out by experienced Japanese craftsmen. The final adjustments, which are directly related to playability, are carefully completed at WDG (Workshop Deviser Guitars), a division of Deviser Guitars in Japan.

In addition to the above work, string action adjustment and final finishing of the fingerboard, which directly affect playability, are also thoroughly performed as tune-up items. New guitars and basses are often difficult to play, but JT series guitars and basses are designed to support players’ musical lives from the day they are purchased.

Burl poplar top models that incorporate the colors of nature!

The top of the body is decorated with poplar wood with burl grain. Poplar is mainly found in North America, but it is also familiar in Japan, as seen in the rows of poplar trees in Hokkaido.
*The grain of burl poplar varies from guitar to guitar.

This model is painted in a light shade following the KRB (Keiryu Blue) and SYP (Someiyoshino Pink) coloring, which was introduced in the past in limited edition models from the Bacchus Handmade Series. Bursting the light colors requires skill, but the skilled painting techniques of the craftsmen at the Asuka factory, where the domestic models are manufactured, have been reproduced.

WOODLINE-style slim body

It inherits the downsized body shape of the high-end WOODLINE series, which was developed for the Handmade series. The body is slightly slimmer than a typical JB-type electric bass, which provides excellent playability. Black binding is applied around the perimeter of the body to give it a high-class, tight look.

Maple fingerboard and Avalon shell position marks

The fingerboard is made of maple to match the coloring of the body top. Avalon shells used for the position marks are beautiful to look at, and their brilliance changes depending on the angle from which you look at them, accentuating the overall light coloring.

Brass Neck Plate

This model features an original brass neck plate with high specific gravity used at the joint. The bass tone is made heavier than conventional models and extends into the mid to low range with a dense, full tone.

Standard WOODLINE Series Turbo Switch

The “turbo switch” common to the WOODLINE models is also featured on this model. Pulling up the tone knob turns on the turbo switch, which connects two single pickups in series to produce a fat humbucking pickup-like sound. (*When the turbo switch is on, the volume is adjusted with the front Vol knob. The rear Vol knob is bypassed.)
