Bacchus 30th Anniversary Model – [Deviser One Day Guitar Show]

The classic model that supported the 30th anniversary of the Bacchus brand

Bacchus Guitars have been in the hands of many users around the world, from high-end to entry-level guitars. The Bacchus brand, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, began its history back in 1994.

A major turning point after the launch of the brand was the birth of models such as the “WOODLINE” series, the “G-STUDIO”, and the “DUKE-STANDARD” which have created a lineage that can still be seen in the Bacchus brand products of today.

And now, a special model commemorating the brand’s 30th anniversary will be introduced in the Bacchus Handmade Series at the 2024 Deviser One Day Guitar Show.

A special model commemorating the 30th anniversary of the company’s history

This year’s “Deviser One Day Guitar Show 2024” will be a special model made from selected standard models and carefully selected woods for this event. This article introduces a few specifications of this special model.

「Jindai Wood」2-piece body & Ziricote fretboard

Jindai is a wood that has been buried in the ground for more than 1,000 years without decaying and its name in Japanese “神代” means “wood from the time of the gods” or “wood that became godlike”.

The appearance of Jindai wood is characterized by its color. While there are many types of colors wood comes in such as whitish or reddish colorations, Jindai wood generally loses its color (saturation) over time, turning a grayish brown and giving it a unique glossy appearance.

The fact that the wood is more than 1,000 years old gives it a certain solemn, imposing feel.

Naturally, it will never be seen by the public in its buried state, but it will be unearthed due to earthquakes, landslides, land development, and other reasons. Jindai wood can only be found by chance, making it an exceedingly rare material.

In commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Bacchus brand, this precious Jindai wood is used for the body in a 2-piece arrangement. You will be able to enjoy the full sound of the Jindai wood as well as its history.

Ziricote was selected for the fretboard wood. It is a very hard wood that produces a hefty sound with a strong attack.
The expressive wood grain is also a feature of the instrument, making for a gorgeous look perfect to commemorate its 30th anniversary.

Jindai wood will be used to make both guitars and basses to commemorate this 30th anniversary.
The craftsmen at the Aska workshop have gathered their skills and are now working hard to complete these special models that embody the history of the Bacchus brand.
