The second edition of the finest cherry blossom trees from Kyoto Prefecture is now in full bloom!
The Headway Kyozakura model was produced to commemorate the 10th anniversary and is made of sakura, or “Japanese cherry tree” wood, grown in Kyoto.
The Kyozakura model, which received a great response at the Deviser 2024 Special Showcase event, is now available with a new body shape and cherry blossom design.
The beautiful winter-themed coloring and designs are inspired by the Kyoto scenery. The pickguard also features a clever inlay design.
The Kyozakura model, using Sakura produced in Kyoto Prefecture, makes its appearance!
The Kyozakura model is one of the main attractions of the Deviser One Day Guitar Show 2024 and is made of cherry wood from trees grown in Kyoto Prefecture.
The wood has a straight grain pattern and an elegant Kyoto-like quality to it.
Of course, the design incorporates a Kyoto theme, with the flow of the Kamo River, the bridges over it, and the “weeping sakura” that is characteristic of Kyoto.
In addition, we collaborated with “Tatenoya”, a traditional weaver in Kyoto, to produce a custom-made sound hole label and a custom-made sound hole cover using Kyoto textiles.

Techniques and traditions infused with a modern feel
Upon receiving news of the arrival of cherry wood from Kyoto Prefecture, the project was set in motion with the desire to work with the chemistry of Kyoto’s traditional culture. The result was “KyoOri”, which utilizes “Nishijin-style” textile techniques.
